At the turn of the 20th century, Lee Mong Kow, a prominent Chinatown merchant, operated the Shon Yuen Herbal Shop and Opium Factory on the ground floor and lived with his family on the upper floor. In subsequent years, this space became home to the Shake Shake Hand Club, a social club for Chinatown’s elite. Restored with the original partitions in the layout of the gambling den, today it’s sophisticated and ultra-comfortable, the perfect place to begin your Chinatown adventures.
